Who We Are

Wendy Batdorf

President

Wendy joined QCCAN in May 2022 with her Golden Retriever Cody.  Volunteering with Cody inspired Wendy to add an English Cream Golden Retriever, Casper, to her family in 2023. Although he is still a puppy, Casper’s early therapy dog skills were put to the test after Cody’s unexpected passing.  Wendy is looking forward to continued training with Casper and becoming a green team to volunteer at events all over the QC area.  Wendy is a licensed Clinical Psychologist working for the Department of Veterans Affairs managing several national psychotherapy training programs.  When she is not working or volunteering, Wendy enjoys spending time with her family, running, hiking and traveling the world. 

Ann Seaberg

Vice President

Ann joined QCCAN in February 2020.  Mowgli, a Bernese Mountain Dog, assists Ann in her work as a Physical Therapist with Illinois’ Early Intervention program.  Together they assist the birth to 3 year old population achieve foundational developmental motor skills.  Ann and Mowgli also enjoy encouraging the other end of the age span.  In her free time, Ann enjoys being active outdoors with her husband and friends doing anything that does not involve heights.

Korryn Baraks

Treasurer

Korryn joined QCCAN in March of 2023 with her Australian Cattle Dog, Kyla. Their favorite visits include libraries and community visits. Korryn enjoys the opportunity to volunteer with her dog in the community. She is a Financial Management Analyst for the Department of Defense on the Rock Island Arsenal. Korryn enjoys hiking and training with her dogs, riding horses, Polaris RZR adventures with her boyfriend, traveling, and crafting in her free time. 

Ellen Champion

Secretary

Ellen joined QCCAN in April of 2021 with her Irish Doodle, Finn. She has since added a second therapy dog, Oscar - an Australian Labradoodle. Their favorite visits are in classrooms reading with kids. Ellen enjoys volunteering with QCCAN and sharing Oscar and Finn's love with everyone they meet. She is a Public Relations Manager for Construction Equipment at John Deere. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, biking, and traveling with her husband and both dogs for off-road adventures in their Jeep.

Ann O'Klock

General Board Member

Ann began her journey with QCCAN and her dog Sherman - an English Cream Golden Retriever in July of 2021.  Ann also has another English Cream Golden Retriever that is going through the therapy dog training process.  Ann enjoys volunteering with QCCAN, bringing joy, smiles and comfort to all they visit.  Her favorite visits are with children and watching Sherman getting lots of pets and snuggles. When Ann is not going on QCCAN visits she enjoys flowers, baking bread and making baskets. Ann is a retired psychotherapist.
